Sanctum 2 is coming to the PSN in 2013

Sanctum 2 will be coming in 2013 to the PlayStation Network as a downloadable title. The game is a sequel to 2011′s Sanctum, released in April, from Coffee Stain Studios. The original Sanctum, a PC exclusive, was available through digital distribution and since its release the game has sold over 300,000 units on the Steam store. The sequel is planned for release on PC as well as Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network sometime in 2013. No details have been released about the game so far beyond the title and release year but Ted Lange, executive producer of Reverb Publishing, has stated, “…what Coffee Stain has in store for Sanctum 2 will blow the minds of Sanctum fans and new gamers alike.”

The original Sanctum was a first-person shooter crossed with a tower defense. Before combat began the player would construct towers to help fight off waves of incoming attackers. Once the action began it played as a first-person shooter during which the player would fend off enemy forces with the help of the towers. The goal of the game was to defend your “core” with each enemy that reached it reducing its condition.
