Rocketbirds now 40% on PSN

Ratloop Asia’s indie title, Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken is now available for a paltry (poultry?) 40% off for the PS Vita. If you haven’t experienced the cinematic platform adventure game, now is you chance. There is plenty about this title to be excited about and for $5.99 for PS Plus members and $7.19 for everyone else; it is well worth the price of admission.

The PS Vita version sports tilting screens, Adhoc and Online Co-op and two difficulty settings. The PS Vita version also takes advantage of OLED screen with enhanced graphics. Several chapters have been supped up to improve over all game experience.

The music of the sci-fi rock band New World Revolution adds to the surreal and comical feel of this original title from Ratloop Asia. Available, now!

Way of the Dogg is the first true gamification of my music,” said Snoop Dogg. It also brings Snoop’s journey of his personal reincarnation as Snoop Lion. The story of his journey as Snoop Lion is further unraveled by the his new album, REINCARNATED, set to release April 23rd.

Soul Sacrifice score recorded at Skywalker Sound

If the game design and plot doesn’t pull you in, the music will. Soul Sacrifice for the PS Vita has received star treatment in what perceived as a potential system seller. One half of the music and all of the conducting was done by Wataru Hokoyama (See Soul Sacrifice music to get star treatment ) who shares a special message at the end of the video. The video shows Hokoyama conducting a powerful bit of music for Soul Sacrifice at Skywalker Sound, tubas et al. Skywalker Sound was founded in 1975 by George Lucas and has been recognized as the preeminent recording studio for film and games. Persona 2: Eterrnal Punishment now on PSN

persona2

Persona 2 suffered from split personalities. The game was split between two different games, Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment and saw remakes on the PSP, though Eternal Punishment was not released in the US. So do this mean we are finally getting that long sought after version? Not exactly.

ATLUS had encountered some significant issues with localizing the PSP version of the game. As a peace offering to fans the company has released the PSOne version on PSN. This version is mostly similar to the PSP version though the translation is not on par with recent localizations of the Persona series. A clarification list can be found on the PlayStation blog, here.

Up until today however, it seems that there were issues downloading the game to the PSP and PS Vita. PSP owners enjoyed a work around by downloading the game to their PS3 and then transferring the games to the PSP. The game seems to be accessible as of this morning for PS Vita owners.

You can help Maya Amano solve the mystery of the Joker Curse, battle or negotiate with demons, and watch rumors you spread come to life for only $9.99.
