BBC Sports Coming to the PS3

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
European PS3 owners will soon have another way to view their favorite sporting events. Sony and the BBC are working together on an application with a variety of bells and whistles. The app will provide information directly to the XMB, as well as video from sporting events, and even live streams. Over the summer, key coverage will include the London 2012 Olympics, Wimbledon, and Formula One racing. Not many specifics have been given, but there may be interactive aspects to the viewing experience.  There’s no word on the app’s release in other territories as of yet, but we do know it will be free.
