Explore, craft and mine in Terraria on PSN

Terraria is a 2D side-scrolling, block-building game at heart, but has aspects of both the RPG and action adventure genre sprinkled throughout. This is not a new title, in fact, it has been out on PC for over year and has sold “1.6 million” copies. The port itself is being done by industry vet Engine Software, who have been around for quite sometime, although this is their first PSN title.

Thanks to 505 Games, Andrew Spinks, the original creator, is having his dream come to home consoles. To celebrate its release on new platforms, the developers are promising all-new content, that will please new and old fans alike. Terraria offers player vs. player combat, multiplayer co-op, endless exploring opportunities and the ability to reshape the world around them.

Andrew Spinks has this to say about the console release:

I can’t say how excited I am to finally have Terraria come to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3! To see it come so far is a complete shock, especially after such humble beginnings. It’s always been my dream to have as many people as possible know and enjoy Terraria as much as I have, and this is another big step in that direction! It’s been awesome working with 505 Games, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the additional features that they’ve been able to bring to this new edition of the game.
