Keiji Inafune bringing Soul Sacrifice to the PS Vita

For some time now, other then a few low-quality pictures and videos, nothing has really been known about the upcoming release Soul Sacrifice. The one thing we have known is that Soul Sacrifice is coming from the mind of Keiji Inafune, the man behind hits like Dead Rising, Onimusha and the creator of Megaman. Recently a full length trailer has emerged, which shows some mildly disturbing scenes and a sword, which seems to play a major role in the story line. Although it doesn’t show us any actual gameplay, it does do a decent job at setting a definitive tone for the upcoming release.

In a recent presentation (above video) Keiji Inafune reveals many new details that have yet to been known. One of the first things he points out is that the game is designed for four person multiplayer and that everyone in the game is a sorcerer. We also learn that the magic used is achieved through sacrifice: human, trees, even body parts. As you become a stronger sorcerer you slowly lose connection to your human roots and start becoming more of a monster. Each choice you make during the game will give you rewards of one type or another, allowing you to have a sorcerer that is completely unique to each player. Another feature that will appear in multiplayer is group decisions, such as sacrificing an enemy–though how this is decided or how it is handled when a group can’t come to a conclusive choice has yet to be revealed.

Make sure to watch the full video above for all known details and a some great gameplay footage and check out all the amazing screenshots after the break.
