Time for the Monday Flashback, where we bring you all the news we missed last week and links to everything we didn’t (just in case you missed it).
Last week was a busy one for us here at PSN Fans, with several new writers joining, things have been flying out the door. We brought you news of a new Darkstalkers game coming our way, several reviews on recently released games and even word of a free soundtrack, woo what a list. Taking you back to what we missed last week, there are few new details for the upcoming Call of Duty title for the PS Vita. Capcom brings us new details about the upcoming PS Vita version of Street Fight X Tekken, and we get a glimpse at where the Vita is taking the Silent Hill series. We have a rumor about the Resistance Collection, and receive word that A-men will be making it’s way onto the cross-play list when it releases on PS3 later this year.
What we missed this week:
A-men coming to PS3
A-men is a side-scrolling action puzzler where you must figure out how to capture the Adroids that you and 6 co-workers accidentally released. It [A-men] was released on PS Vita sometime back, in this new release we will see upgraded 1080p graphics and a new multiplayer mode. Cross-play and cross-saves will also be enabled, allowing you to play with, where and when you want. Check out the goofy announcement trailer below.
Street Fighter X Tekken gets new Vita trailer
As the release of Street X Tekken for PS Vita gets closer [October 23], fans want one question answered: what features will be included? Capcom is here with the answer in this new trailer. In the new release we can expect to see cross-play, cross-save and the rarely used cross-control, plus much more. Just look for yourself.
Silent Hill: Book of Memories coming to PS Vita (PlayStation Blog)
Silent Hill has long been a survival horror series, pushing people to always dig a little deeper into the madness to discover the truth of what is happening. Wll just like its biggest competition [Resident Evil] this new installment will be making the cross into the Survival Horror Action-RPG world. What does this mean, it means that there will be just a much depth to the story and the character development, just now with high paced action around it instead of slow eerie silence. You can check out an interview with the John Hewlett, the games producer, to see why he says this will keep fans of all genres happy. But if words and interviews aren’t your favorite thing, just watch the new trailer below.
New details for Call of Duty: Declassified (PlayStation Blog)
In a recent interview with Robert Huebner, studio head at Nihilistic Software (Resistance: Burning Skies) many key points were covered about this upcoming Ps Vita title. He immediately addresses what was the biggest complaint: poor graphics, saying that there is “a significant visual upgrade; a richer color palette, more detailed models, and better lighting overall”. He points out that the two biggest focal points for them was, the feel of the controls and weapons, and the animation. Believing that nailing these two pieces were key to delivering a good CoD game. Another detail mentioned was we could expect to see a multiplayer map called Nukehouse, paying homage to the fan loved MP level Nuketown. Check out the full interview, where they cover many more features: perks, weapon modding and single player mode (just to name a few).
When Vikings Attack announces character design winners (PlayStation Blog)
When Vikings Attack is a unique, humorous adventure through a world where Vikings are attacking your town 1200 years after they were supposed to show up. This twist of an adventure is one of the many upcoming, cross/play/save/buy titles for PSN. Recently Xdev has announced three unlockable characters that were developed by fans: Victim of the Sea, Ausenic and Jiahng Shi, all three characters will be unlockable in the full version.

[Rumor] Resistance Collection coming to PSN (PlayStation Blog)
Resistance has definitely been the premier FPS for Sony on the PS3. In a recent announcement we found out that a retail game [Resistance Collection] that includes all three installments of the series, as well as, selected DLC, will be releasing later this year. We here at PSN Fans have good reason to believe that the Resistance Collection–like all collections before it (so far)–will be released on the same day on PSN for $39.99. The release date is still up in the air, although it has been implied that we should see this sometime in Q4 of 2012.
