Adding to the increasingly robust library of PS One Classics, The Legend of Dragoon will soon be available on the PlayStation Network. The much-beloved RPG was revealed to be heading to PSN on May 1st. Along with the news of the game’s upcoming re-release, Shuhei Yoshida, who worked on LOD as producer and later went on to become President of SCE Worldwide Studios, dropped a tidbit about the game’s cancelled sequel:
“I still occasionally hear from fans of The Legend of Dragoon, and many want to know if there is a sequel. LOD2 was put into preproduction after I left the Japan Studio, but was eventually cancelled for some unknown reason, and the team members moved on to different projects. Some people still work in the Japan Studio, so we talk about the memories of developing LOD when we see each other at company functions.”
Way to bring The Legend of Dragoon fans down after getting them excited for the game’s debut on PSN.
