“Free” Games Blow-Out Coming to Plus Members This Month

With E3 2012 in full swing, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) Jack Tretton revealed at the Sony Press Conference that Plus members will be getting a bunch of titles throughout June at no extra charge. Tretton announced that twelve games will be available for download for Plus subscribers, however thirteen titles were actually shown at the presentation. Refer to the images above and below to count for yourself.

Ultimate Editions Sale Starts Tomorrow

UPDATE: According to a follow-up by Eurogamer, this sale pertains only to the US Store. The same deals will not apply to the EU Store.

ORIGINAL: If you happen to have a lot of free space on your hard drive, Sony may have you covered. Starting tomorrow, May 29th, the PlayStation Store will have an ample amount of full games on sale bundled with all of their DLC. Dubbed  ”Ultimate Editions,” these downloads will be 30% off through June 4th, with PlayStation Plus members getting 50%. Check after the break for a full list of games and prices.

PSN’s Awesome Autumn Exclusives Could Dominate XBL’s Summer of Arcade

In the waning days of Xbox LIVE’s Summer of Arcade, you’ll find no bigger Bastion supporter than me. Eric Chahi’s From Dust was just my kind of innovative strategy game. Hell, I pined for Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet since PAX East 2011. And when Sony announced the PSN Play promotion, I wasn’t even that impressed. Four out of the five titles were multiplatform. Where’d that $20 million for downloadable exclusives go?

Vampires invade inFAMOUS 2

inFAMOUS 2, released on June 7th, proved to be a success for both Sony and Sucker Punch Productions. And their UGC (User Generated Content) system has also proven quite successful with fans of the game. They’ve updated the UGC with different packs, including vehicles, switches and foliage, but it seems Sucker Punch is ready to move on to the next big thing.
