PSNFancast Episode 12 – You Can’t Teach an Old Frog New Tricks

The PSNFancast is back in your life, and Chris Hague, Angelo Valdivia and Josiah Renaudin have plenty of catching up to do. The crew opens with both what’s coming out this week on PSN and what they missed last week. The wonders of football, why there shouldn’t be any new Frogger games, the awful release of Bellator and the wonderfully violent The Walking Dead are all discussed, as well as all the serious gaming everyone has been doing over the past two weeks. Angelo puts on his news hat and covers the few recent, PSN-related happenings, which leads to a lengthy discussion on why Sony’s purchase of Gaikai could be a really great thing for the next generation of consoles. Lastly, the group attempts to find a solution for episodic gaming on consoles, which as you’d guess, leads to even more conversation on The Walking Dead. Please subscribe, rate and review the podcast on iTunes. We really appreciate it! Check us out on Twitter (@PSNfans) for some great contests, and don’t forget to send us questions to be read on the next show! Tweet at us with PSN-related inquiries, as well as 140-character opinions on your favorite game from E3 for our “This Week’s Game” segment. Also check out the latest edition of the XBLA Fancast for even more audio goodness (after you finish this podcast, of course).

Kim Swift, former lead designer on Valve’s Portal, and Airtight Games’ first-person puzzler will see life on PSN, XBLA and Steam this summer. Sure, Square Enix may not have supplied an exact date, but a three-month window is better than nothing.
