The Pinball Arcade released back in April getting a Buy It review from us. Since its release we have already seen 4 new tables released and a kickstarter page to bring us the ‘Twilight Zone’ table. Proving that pinball fans are still out there and want to relive these classic machines more then ever.
Well FarSight Studios is back to give the people more of what they want in the form of two new DLC packs coming our way later this month. In the first pack, Add-On Pack 3, we get to see Gorgar and Monster Bash. Gorgar is from 1979 and actually was the first pinball machine to talk to the players, having a vocabulary of 7 whole words. Also included in this pack is Monster Bash, which is one of the newer tables being from 1998, where you try to get all the infamous monsters from Universal Studios together to rock-out in a band. The next two tables coming our way via Add-On Pack 4 is Creature from the Black Lagoon and Black Knight. Black Knight was the first multi-level playing field and also gave players the ability to occasionally bypass losing a ball. Creature from the Black Lagoon introduced people to the first ever holograph in a pinball machine and also turned the story into a adventure as you tried to save your girlfriend the “creature” while at the drive-in.
So far only the first pack has been priced, which is on $4.99 (US) and no official date has been stated other then August, so keep your eyes peeled for these two exciting upcoming releases. Want a glimpse of what some of the new tables will look like, then check out the couple of screenshots we have after the break.
